Teachers of the Year and Employee Awards 2009
District Celebrates Its Teachers and Employees, May 26
Marietta City Schools (MCS) honored teachers and school system employees during its annual awards celebration.
Marie Sherbondy, a math teacher and math department chair at Marietta High School was named the 2010 System Teacher of the Year. The announcement was made by Marietta Superintendent Dr. Emily Lembeck at the district’s Annual Teacher of the Year and Employee Awards Ceremony held May 26, 2009. The event was made possible thanks to the strong support of the business community; their generosity and sponsorship were invaluable in making the event a success.
