Marietta Schools Foundation - Scholarships

In 2008, Marietta Schools Foundation (MSF) awarded six scholarships totaling more than $20,000 to deserving Marietta High School (MHS) graduates. The Marietta Schools Foundation offers several scholarships to students, and awards them based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, character, community involvement, and other criteria.

Scott D. Barton Memorial Scholarship - Application
Scholarship awarded to an MHS graduate and/or any member of First Presbyterian Church or its Youth Groups. Criteria for selection include essay, church activities, good moral character, variety of interests, high SAT score.
- Kevin Dale Adkisson ($6,000) - 2008

Alexis Grubbs Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship awarded to MHS graduates who intend to pursue a career in some aspect of the legal field. Recipients should be bright, compassionate, wholesome, respectful, courteous, unselfish, family oriented and focused.

Ben T. Wilkins Memorial Scholarship - Application
Scholarship awarded to MHS graduates who best exemplify the spirit of “Be Somebody”. Characteristics sought are leadership, scholastic promise, and financial need.

Adeline H. D’Amelio Scholarship - Application
Scholarship awarded to MHS graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in nursing or other areas of the medical profession. Recipient must possess strong academics, leadership, and community service.
