Partners In Education
Partners in Education is sponsored by the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, the Marietta City Schools system and the Cobb County School System. The PIE program is designed to establish a voluntary relationship between a business/organization and a school in order to:
- Support and enrich the education of students;
- Encourage and support school faculty and staff;
- Promote community strength and identify needs; and
- Provide business employees and organization members the opportunity to identify the successes and needs of the public school systems.
Marietta City Schools appreciates the contributions of these community businesses and organizations that help make our schools a better place to learn and work.

MCAA Welcomes PIE - Doggie Bags Studios, March 27
Marietta Center for Advanced Academics (MCAA) recently welcomed Doggie Bags Studios as a new Partner in Education. Artist Karen Ludwig, will work with MCAA students to infuse art using the engineering design process. Doggie Bag Studios will partner with Lockheed Martin Aeronautics and MCAA for a community mural project in the school's media center.

ASCE Engineers Teach MCAA Students, March 9
Engineers from the American Society of Civil Engineers recently visited fourth graders at Marietta Center for Advanced Academics (MCAA). The engineers worked with the students to design and test water filtration devices to clean dirty water. The American Society of Civil Engineers is one of three new MCAA Partners in Education.
Sawyer Road Welcomes PIEDow Chemical, March 7
Sawyer Road Elementary recently signed Dow Chemical as a new Partner in Education. Dow will read to third grade students as one of their partnership projects. This official partnership will further opportunities to provide enrichment opportunities for Sawyer Road students and increase community collaboration.
