Partners In Education

Partners in Education is sponsored by the Cobb Chamber of Commerce, the Marietta City Schools system and the Cobb County School System. The PIE program is designed to establish a voluntary relationship between a business/organization and a school in order to:

• Support and enrich the education of students;
• Encourage and support school faculty and staff;
• Promote community strength and identify needs; and
• Provide business employees and organization members the opportunity to identify the successes and needs of the public school systems.

Marietta City Schools appreciates the contributions of these community businesses and organizations that help make our schools a better place to learn and work.

Marietta PLC Welcomes New Partner In Education, Feb. 9
The Marietta Performance Learning Center recently welcomed the Marietta Housing Authority as a new Partner in Education. Representatives of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce Business and Education Committee toured the facility following the Partner in Education signing ceremony.

Four MCS Schools Partner Up With MBA, Jan. 2010
The Marietta Business Association (MBA) has formed partnerships with four schools in the Marietta City School system. Dunleith and Hickory Hills Elementary, Marietta Center for Advanced Academics and Marietta Sixth Grade Academy are MBA Partners in Education.

MCAA Welcomes New
Partner In Education, Jan. 14
Marietta Center for Advanced Academics (MCAA) recently signed TechMatters as a new Partner in Education. TechMatters supports MCAA by volunteering their time to the student educational video gaming initiative, digital science fair, and the technology club.
