Over 150 Marietta City Schools (MCS) teachers and school administrators, and invited Marietta and Cobb County area government, civic, and business leaders including Cobb Chairman Sam Olens and Marietta City Councilman, Phillip Goldstein gathered Saturday, Jan. 10, from 8 a.m. – 12 noon for the 2nd Annual MCS Ed-Tech Conference: Teaching for Tomorrow: New Visions for Teaching and Learning.
Ian Jukes, the Director of the InfoSavvy Group, an international consulting group and the co-author of two recently published books, “Windows on the Future”, and “Net.Savvy: Building Information Literacy for the Classroom,” was the conference keynote speaker.
Ian Jukes, MCS Educators, and representatives from Kennesaw State University’s Continuing Education Center led a series of breakout sessions in the areas of Communication Literacy for an Information Age, Podcasting, Blogging, and Online Teacher Classrooms.
