Marietta, GA - The Board of Education of the City of Marietta, at their regularly scheduled
meeting of Mar. 16, 2010, at 7 p.m., will proclaim April 2010 – Alcohol Awareness Month in
recognition of National Alcohol Awareness Week. The proclamation encourages community
leaders and adult citizens to support the Cobb Underage Drinking Task Force in making 2010 –
“The Year of Exceeding Expectations in Reducing Underage and Youth Binge Drinking.”

Task Force encourages community involvement in creating awareness about the problem of
underage drinking and youth access to alcohol.
The Board of Education of the City of Marietta supports the Cobb Underage Drinking
Task Force efforts to help educate youth and adults about the health and social risks of youth
