Marietta School Board Proclaims
April Alcohol Awareness Month
Board proclamation, Mar. 15 meeting
Marietta, GA - The Board of Education of the City of Marietta, at their regularly scheduled meeting of March 15, 2011, at 7 p.m., will proclaim April 2011 – Alcohol Awareness Month in recognition of National Alcohol Awareness Week. The proclamation encourages community leaders and adult citizens to join with the Cobb Alcohol Taskforce in efforts to implement enforcement, policy and education strategies that will reduce underage and youth binge drinking.
The Board of Education of the City of Marietta supports the Cobb Alcohol Taskforce efforts to help educate youth and adults about the health and social risks of youth access to alcohol.
