Marietta Schools Salute Teachers
National Teacher Day - May 3, 2011
Thank a teacher for making public schools great!

Marietta, GA - Thank a teacher for making public schools great! Teachers at Marietta City Schools (MCS) and in communities across the nation will be in the spotlight on Tuesday, May 3, National Teacher Day, as students, parents, school administrators and the general public honor local educators and learn how teachers are making Great Public Schools for every student.

"National Teacher Day is a good time to find a simple yet meaningful way to thank a teacher who made a great difference in your child's life or even possibly yours," states Dr. Emily Lembeck, MCS Superintendent. "Few other professionals touch the lives of as many people as teachers do every day, and are role models for so many."

Thank a Teacher! The National Education Association's Teacher Thank-You Project carries a simple message: Thank a Teacher. To be part of the project, individuals can visit www.teacherthankyoucard.org or mail a handmade card to NEA's Teacher Thank-You Project, c/o NEA, P.O. Box 66458, Washington, DC 20035.
