Event at MHS Black Box Theatre, Thursday, May 19 at 7 p.m.

Marietta, GA - The Board of Education of the City of Marietta is seeking public comment regarding the proposed Marietta High School (MHS) Fine Arts Center construction project. The public comment forum at the MHS Black Box Theatre on Thursday, May 19 at 7 p.m. will provide parents and community members an opportunity to learn about the vision for this project. The event is free and open to the public.

"At Thursday's event, the public will be able to share their comments with school board members regarding construction of a Fine Arts Center at Marietta High School. A formal presentation will precede the public comment session," said Dr. Emily Lembeck, MCS Superintendent. "We have a second public forum planned after the start of the new school year."

Marietta High School is located at 1171 Whitlock Avenue in Marietta. MHS is a comprehensive high school providing a full range of educational opportunities. Newsweek's 2010 list of America's Top Public High Schools named Marietta High School (MHS) one of the best high schools in the nation, ranking it among the Top 6% (790 out of the Top 1600) of all high schools in America for the 5th year in a row.
