High School ProStart Culinary Teacher Wins
Georgia Restaurant Educator Excellence Award
High School Culinary Team Places ProStart Competition
Marietta, GA - Marietta High School (MHS) Culinary arts teacher, Chef Ginger Pratt is the 2012 recipient of the Georgia Restaurant Educator Excellence Award. Pratt will receive the award at the National Restaurant Association convention, compliments of the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF).
"We are honored by the recognition bestowed on Chef Pratt," said Dr. Tim Brown, Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education Director and MHS Assistant Principal. "Her leadership, professionalism and dedication to educational excellence provide our students with qualified, real-world learning experiences."
Chef Pratt and the MHS ProStart culinary team—Sarah Bernknopf, Kadijah Brookes, Sarah Dickerson, Ashley Laster, and Kelsey Miller—competed against 14 other high school teams and placed 4th at the annual Georgia ProStart Competition held March 23.
