District In Technology Know-How
District places in Top 10, sixth year running

Digital School Boards Survey WinnerMarietta, GA - For the sixth consecutive year, Marietta City Schools (MCS) placed in the Top Ten U.S. School Districts Honored for Technology Know-How. MCS placed 3rd, among mid-sized school districts (3,000 – 12,000 students), in the nation's eighth annual Digital School Districts Survey by e.Republic's Center for Digital Education, the National School Boards Association (NSBA) and convergemag.com.

The top ten rankings reflect those school boards/districts with the fullest implementation of technology benchmarks in the evolution of digital education, as represented in the survey questions. View the full list of winners at www.convergemag.com/awards/digital-districts.

"We are proud to once again be a top ten winner nationwide, and for being recognized for our continued use of technology to govern the district, improve district operations, and engage our constituents," said Jill Mutimer, Chair, Board of Education - City of Marietta.

Founded in 1940, NSBA is a not-for-profit organization representing state associations of school boards and their more than 90,000 local school board members throughout the U.S.

The Center for Digital Education is a national research and advisory institute specializing in K-12 and higher education technology trends, policy and funding. CDE supports the Converge media platform composed of the Converge Special Reports and convergemag.com.
