Marietta High School Among Best High Schools
U.S.News and World Report 2012 Best Schools
Marietta, GA - U.S.News & World Report's 2012 annual list of the best high schools in the country, named Marietta High School (MHS) one of the best high schools in the nation. Of the 21,776 public high schools examined by U.S. News, the magazine named MHS a silver medal winner.
"Marietta High School is ranked 1,611 nationally and 28th in Georgia out of 77 Georgia schools ranked," said Marietta City Schools Superintendent Dr. Emily Lembeck. "This is the third year U.S. News has named Marietta High School to the list of best high schools in the nation. In 2010, we earned a bronze award from U.S. News."
"This year, Marietta High School earned a silver award ranking signifying their continued progress and gains on state proficiency standards, how well they prepare our students for college, and increases on academic achievement factors," added Lembeck.
