MARIETTA, GA–Marietta High School (MHS) Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) Unit GA-20021 instructors and cadets recently earned an overall unit assessment score of “Exceeds Standards”, the highest rating attainable during their rated Unit Evaluation.
In his congratulatory letter to Lt. Col. James T. Wilson, MHS Senior Aerospace Science Instructor, Colonel Matthew G. Anderer, Director, Air Force JROTC said, “Achieving a rating of Exceeds Standards is no small feat—it takes a lot of hard work. Your program defines the term ‘successful unit’ and establishes the benchmark for others to follow.”
“To earn this honor, our cadets performed exceptionally well and took great pride in leading and accomplishing their unit goals,” added Lt. Col. Wilson. “Our instructors, Chief Master Sergeant Alfaro and Master Sergeant Smith created a dynamic and supportive learning environment for our cadets, and provided outstanding leadership in administering this cadet-centered citizenship program. I am extremely proud of everyone in the unit.”
