Marietta High School JROTC Drive Day
Benefits The Empty Stocking Fund, Nov. 2
Drive Day annual fundraising campaign

MARIETTA, GA -Marietta High School (MHS) Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) cadets will once again participate in their annual JROTC Drive Day, Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, to benefit The Empty Stocking Fund. Each year more than 2,500 cadets representing 30 metro Atlanta high school JROTC programs collect donations throughout their community to help provide gifts to more than 50,000 metro area children living in poverty.

“In addition to increasing visibility and raising contributions for a good cause, JROTC Drive Day encourages students to get involved in their communities by helping others and, in return, provides them with a sense of pride for their efforts,” said Chief Master Sergeant Jose Alfaro, MHS Aerospace Science Instructor. “Each year, MHS cadets actively support this activity, and help to raise a significant amount of funds to help area families.”

As one of the project’s sponsors, Kroger allows cadets to fundraise at more than 50 metro area stores. MHS cadets will be at the following Marietta Kroger locations, Saturday, Nov. 2:
