MARIETTA, GA -The open application window for the 2014-2015 Marietta City Schools (MCS) elementary Choice Academies program is Nov. 11, 2013 through Jan. 17, 2014. “For the seventh year Marietta City Schools offers resident families an opportunity to participate in the Choice Academies program,” said MCS Superintendent Dr. Emily Lembeck.

“The choice programs in each school provide wonderful educational environments and support our district’s vision to be the school system of choice.”

All Marietta City elementary Choice Academies offer school tours by appointment. To arrange a school tour contact the school directly. For more information about the unique academic programs offered at each Marietta City elementary school, visit the Choice Academies webpage at

Choice provides parents and guardians an opportunity to choose, within a clearly defined window of eligibility, the elementary school best suited to their child’s talents and needs. Space must be available at the school and within the grade level requested before a Choice request is eligible for approval.
