12/18/2012 Board Adopts Two-Year School Calendar
In a vote of 7:0, the Board of Education of the City of Marietta adopted a two-year school calendar at their Dec. 18, 2012, meeting. The 2013-2014 school calendar begins classes Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, and the 2014-2015 calendar begins classes Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014.

11/07/2012 Marietta School Governance Teams Solicit Input Proposed 2013-2014, 2014-2015 School Calendars
Marietta City Schools (MCS) School Governance Teams (SGT) will work with their individual schools to solicit input from all parents and guardians, and district employees, regarding two proposed calendar options for the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 school years. 12/21/2011 Board Adopts Two-Year School Calendar
The Board of Education of the City of Marietta adopted a two-year school calendar at their Dec. 21 meeting. The 2011-2012 school calendar begins classes Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, and the 2012-2013 calendar begins classes Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012. The board approved the calendar in a vote of 6:0, with board member Logan Weber absent.

10/19/2011 Board Approves Date Change 2011-2012 School Calendar
The Board of Education of the City of Marietta, at their Oct. 18, 2011, meeting approved a date change to the 2011-2012 School Calendar. The date change moves the Teacher Professional Learning date from Feb. 7, 2012, to March 6, 2012 to coincide with the Presidential Primary election date. The board approved the calendar revision in a vote of 7:0.
