Marietta Middle School to host No Books No Ball Summer Seminar
Event scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2014
MARIETTA, GA –Marietta Middle School (MMS) to host Marietta Mentoring for Leadership’s No Books No Ball Summer Seminar on Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 10:00 am - 3:30 pm. This free event is for rising seventh – twelfth grade students. Parents and students are encouraged to attend morning seminars, which include information about the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and American College Test (ACT); careers in college and professional sports; and academic requirements for entrance into top Division I schools. The afternoon will include an opportunity for students to practice their athletic skills on the playing fields and basketball courts.
“Marietta has a long tradition of holding student athletes accountable for their learning, and establishing high expectations,” said Forrestella Taylor, MMS Principal. “This event will further fortify this philosophy and will help to support our efforts to increase the long-term success of these students.”
