Dual Language Immersion
Dunleith Elementary School’s Dual Language Program provides students with language and learning opportunities that will help them to become productive global citizens. Students are emerged in Spanish Language Activities for half of a day, and they are emerged in English Language Activities for the other part of the day. Dunleith’s DLI Program focuses on developing dual language literacy skills, speaking and listening skills, critical thinking skills, and of course, cultural awareness. Dunleith’s DLI Teachers and Students are excited to learn new things and students are thriving. Dual Language Research has shown that students involved in DLI Programs perform at grade level or higher in many content areas. We are so very proud of our DLI teachers and students and we will continue to expand our DLI Program.
