Continuation Criteria

For a gifted student to continue to receive gifted education services, the student must have satisfactory performance. Satisfactory performance is defined as:
Grade K-2:
- Maintain a score of “M” on the MILE resource semester report.
- Maintain scores of 2 or 3 in Advanced Content classes on the quarterly report card.
- Maintain a majority of 2 or 3 in the core subject areas standards (ELA, Math, Social Studies, and Science) on the quarterly report card.
Grades 3-5:
- Maintain a score of “M” on the MILE resource semester report.
- Maintain scores of A or B in Advanced Content classes on the quarterly report card.
- Maintain scores of A or B in the core subject areas on the quarterly report card.
Grades 6-12:
- Maintain an overall 3.0 GPA in all core subject areas (ELA, Math, Social Studies, and Science) on the quarterly/semester report card.
- Maintain an 80% average or greater in all subjects in which a student is receiving gifted services.
