Odyssey by Compass Learning
* Odyssey by Compass Learning includes lessons and activities that are built upon current and confirmed research about the way students actually think and learn. Odyssey software for Kindergarten through 10th grade makes differentiating and personalizing learning paths for instruction based on the NWEA MAP test in Math and Language Reads. In addition, Compass Learning Odyssey provides learning modules and courses for online learning for the 6-12th grade students in Science, Math, Language Arts and Social Studies.
The Georgia Online Formative Assessment Resource (GOFAR) is a tool that districts may use in multiple ways. GOFAR contains test items related to content areas assessed by the Georgia Milestones Assessment System and NAEP. Teachers and administrators can utilize the GOFAR to develop formative and summative assessments, aligned to the state-adopted content standards, to assist in informing daily instruction.
Discovery Education has award-winning digital content such as videos, images, songs, interactive games, virtual labs, eBooks, etc. which are viewable online or some are downloadable for school projects. The content includes, math, language, arts, science, social studies, health, PE, Foreign Language, etc. Each piece of content has a complete citation that can be used for bibliographies.
GALILEO (9 - 12 6 - 8 K - 5) is an online library of databases and selected free Inter-net resources that offers access to thousands of full-text magazines, journals, encyclopedias, and electronic books. This is a safe and vetted site for students to use for research. The content includes, math, language, arts, science, social studies, health, PE, Foreign Language, etc. Each piece of content has a complete citation that can be used for bibliographies.
Renaissance Home Connect
Renaissance Home Connect improves the school-to-home connection by allowing parents and students to log in to a website and view the student’s reading and math practice and progress towards goals in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade.
The Accelerated Reader portion of Renaissance Home Connect gives parents and students a snapshot of the student’s AR progress, including average percent correct in quizzes, number of points earned, and ATOS book level. Parents and students can also see all the books the student has read. Clicking a book shows details about it such as book level, word count, points, and more.
Math Facts in a Flash
* Math Facts in a Flash gives a snapshot of the student’s Accelerated Math Live progress, including average percent correct on tests, number of math objectives mastered, and results of the last test. If teachers have the scoring preference turned on, students can score practices and exercises from home when they open Accelerated Math Live. Students can also search or browse for math terms and see a definition and example for each. Sample problems for each objective are provided to help students with their homework.
Study Island (6-8th Grade Social Studies and selected 9-12 All Subjects) is an online learning platform of Georgia standards-based assessment, instruction, and test preparation. Study Island combines rigorous content in math, reading, writing, science, and social studies with interactive features and games that engage students and reinforce and reward learning achievement.
Safari Montage provides K-12 schools with access to 9,500 videos and 17,195 images from the finest educational video and interactive publishers from school or at home.
Imagine Learning is an English language literacy program for K-5 students whose teachers have enrolled them in the program. The more the students use this program, the faster they will learn to speak English.
Georgia Virtual Learning
Georgia Virtual Learning is your headquarters for online education from the Georgia Department of Education. Stay tuned as the program grows into your portal to various learning resources delivered by the GaDOE. Currently, you can find links to Georgia Virtual School, the online learning opportunity for 9-12 students, Georgia Credit Recovery, the teacher-less online location for students who need to recover credit from an unsuccessful course, and the GaDOE Express program which helps teachers and students with information related to the science and social studies Georgia High School Graduation Tests (GHSGTs).
Additionally, Georgia Virtual Learning provides modules for all core content classes grades 6-12. Students will find lessons, activities, assignments, assessments, resources, and projects aligned with GPS and CCGPS. It is a fantastic resource for students to engage in self-directed learning in all core subjects from grades 6-12.
