Meet Your Teachers

  • Andrea Gutierrez is our newest ESOL teacher, she will be working half-time with kindergarten and second grade. She graduated from Kennesaw State University with a M.A.T in Art Education, and earned her ESOL endorsement through the Marietta City ESOL certification program. Andrea loves the outdoors! She enjoys rock climbing, hanging out with her two dogs, exploring new places and creating works of art.

    Catherine Hettrich graduated with a BA in Education from Moravian College- Bethlehem, PA in 1986.   In 1998 she received her Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University as well as her ESOL endorsement and in 2010 she earned her Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University. To maintain balance, when Mrs. Hettrich is not teaching, you can find her knitting, reading, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
    Lydia Spruill  has been teaching for 12 years at Sawyer Road Elementary. She has been teaching ESOL for four years. In her free time she enjoys reading and being a soccer mom.
