Wellness Program
In 2010, Congress passed the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 ( Sec. 204 of Public Law 111-296), and added new provisions for local school wellness policies related to implementation, evaluation, and publicly reporting on progress of local school wellness policies. Our district's Wellness Policy EEE drives our devotion in getting involved with local communities and programs that promote healthy lifestules through nutrition education. The MCS School Nutrition Program collaborates with many internal stakeholders to provide a wide variety of wellness educational opportunities to both our students and staff members. In addition, an annual summary is provided to the Marietta City Schools Board of Education. Click Here to view last school year's summary of wellness activities available under the September 11, 2018 agenda.
