School day: 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM (Bell Schedule) Student Entry into the building: 8:00 AM Students will be tardy after: 8:30 AM Dismissal of ASP 3:10 PM Dismissal of car/van riders: 3:15 PM Dismissal of bus riders: 3:20 PMStudents may enter the building at 8:00 am with the tardy bell at 8:30 am. Please do not send your child/children to school prior to 8:00am. SRE Staff is not available to supervise students prior to 8:00 am.Dismissal starts at 3:10.We strongly suggest that you check your bus schedule for morning times of bus pickups to your address/apartment complex. Please take this opportunity to review your students School Bus Route for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. If you don’t see a bus stop for your student to safely access please fill out a bus stop appeal form. Friday, July 13, 2018 will be the cutoff date this summer to submit a bus stop appeal form in order for the stop to be considered before the first two weeks of school are completed. If you submit a bus stop appeal after that date then you will need to be prepared to transport your student or take them to the closest bus stop for the first two weeks of school while your bus stop appeal form can be reviewed. Please take this opportunity now to review your route for next school year so that your student’s transportation is set up and ready to go on the first day of school.

What should parents (guardians) do if their student does not arrive at his/her bus stop?Parents should contact the Marietta City Schools (MCS) Transportation Department Dispatch Desk at 770.429.3110 ext. 110, 111 or operation's supervisory staff at ext. 101, 102 or 103. Dispatch can usually communicate the name of the missing student to the driver to confirm if the student did indeed board the school bus. If this cannot be confirmed, dispatch will issue an "all call" to all bus routes from the student's school. Parents should also contact their school to determine if the student boarded a bus or is attending an After School Program.
What should parents (guardians) do if the school bus arrives late at the bus stop?Parents should contact the MCS Transportation Department Dispatch Desk at 770.429.3110 ext. 110, 111 or operation's supervisory staff at ext. 101, 102 or 103 for an update on the bus route and any delays it may have encountered. Dispatch can also provide an update on the pickup or drop off time if the bus has already serviced the bus stop in question. If the bus is more than 10-15 minutes late in the morning, parents should contact the Dispatch Desk for an updated arrival time. MCS Transportation will always run a bus to service a stop even if the bus is going to run late. Breakfast is held for any students arriving late to school aboard a school bus and students are not counted as tardy.
