Clubs and Organizations

  • Parents may decline participation (opt out) of their child in any club/organization offered at their school.  The following are tentative clubs/organizations for the 2018-2019 school year.  The “opt out” form is included with the Parent Guide signature document and should be returned to your child’s school.



    Encouraging and fostering in student leaders the desire to serve and take responsibility for initiatives and change in their school and community.

    Representatives from 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes represent the voice, concerns, and ideas of the student body for improving West Side and our community.

    Safety Patrol

    Students demonstrate and model responsibility and appropriate behaviors as they assist in maintaining a safe school environment.

    Singing Stingers

    To instill a love of singing in participants, to teach participants how to use their gift of singing and to entertain West Side and the community through song.

    Build confidence and self-awareness through theatrical training and experience (after school/fee-based).

    This organization provides opportunities for girls to become productive citizens, as well as to develop self-confidence and genuine concern for others and their environment. .

    Gain hands-on experience in all aspects of news production, including writing scripts, presenting news, and using closed-circuit television production equipment

    Girls on the Run Club

    Girls on the Run® is a character development program that encourages preteen girls to develop self-respect and healthy lifestyles through running.
