Thank you for taking the time to visit our webpage. As the principal of Hickory Hills, I have the privilege of serving a community of learners with a long standing history in Marietta. Hickory Hills is a strong neighborhood school, with a staff committed to meeting the individual needs of every child.
Hickory Hills believes in providing our students with a learning environment which instills values that will prepare students for life success – respect, collaboration, responsibility, communication, excellence, and creativity. We welcome opportunities for you to learn more about our school. Our instructional program ensures that all students will achieve their greatest potential, while using the arts to empower and inspire our students along the way.

Kristen Beaudin joined Hickory Hills Elementary School as Principal in 2011, following eleven years of service within the Cobb County School district. Her career began at Varner Elementary, where she taught 1st grade for three years, followed by an Instructional Lead Teacher, an Area Lead Teacher, and lastly an Assistant Principal.
Mrs. Beaudin grew up in Cobb County and attended school in the Cobb County School District, graduating from South Cobb High School. She received her undergraduate degree from Kennesaw State University in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Beaudin earned her master’s degree from KSU in Educational Leadership in 2007. In 2011, she earned her specialist’s degree from Berry College in Educational Leadership.
Mrs. Beaudin believes that schools should provide all students with a learning environment which instills values and prepares students for life success – respect, collaboration, responsibility, communication, excellence and creativity. She believes strongly in educating the whole child and feels that the school/home relationship is one of the most impact and powerful relationships contributing to student success. Lastly, she believes that the instructional programs provided at Hickory Hills ensures that all students will achieve their greatest potential, while using the arts to empower and inspire them along the way.
During her free time, Mrs. Beaudin enjoys running, exercising, shopping and spending time with her husband and three daughters.
