Communications

Marietta City Schools (MCS) grants a limited license to use MCS’s marks (school seal, logos, and slogans) for purposes of district and school promotion and marketing communications. All such use of the MCS marks shall be pre-approved in writing. Please contact the Communications Department to request such permission.

Marietta City Schools (MCS) marks may not be used in any manner that expresses or implies MCS’s affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, certification, or approval, other than as contemplated by a written Agreement.

MCS Marks Graphic Guidelines

• The MCS marks (district seal, logos, and slogans) and school marks (logo, mascot, and slogans) may not be combined with any other symbols, including words, logos, icons, graphics, photos, slogans, numbers, or other design element.
• The standard PMS color for the MCS logo w/slogan is PMS 282 (Classic Navy); both all-black and reversed-out white versions are available by request.
• The approved and existing colors of all marks (district and schools) may not be changed or altered, with the exception of all-black or all-white variations, as needed.
• The slogan “Special. Different. Better.” may not be altered or combined with any other symbols, including words, logos, icons, graphics, photos, slogans, numbers, or other design elements.

The Communications, Marketing and Public Relations Department is designated by the Superintendent to handle all Open Records requests.
