MCS Onboarding Steps to Success
Complete the checklist in TalentEd.
- Make sure your background check is processed.
- Complete I-9 verification and upload ID.
- Experience verifications must be submitted to HR within 90 days from date of hire.
Obtain your ID badge and laptop.
- To make an appointment, email the HR secretary (Carol Petrovich) at cpetrovich@marietta-city.org.
- After pre-planning, the laptop and MCS account information (login credentials to network and online applications) are provided at the work site.
Review your work calendar.
- Employee Work Calendars can be accessed by visiting the MCS HR Website and are organized by position title.
Select your benefits.
- Benefits must be selected within 30 days from date of hire.
- You will receive an email from PlanSource to select your local benefits.
- Benefits from State Health automatically transfer if already registered; registration code for new enrollments is "SHBP-GA."
- Learn more by visiting the MCS Benefits Center and watching the MCS Benefits Overview Video.

- The MCS Employee Portal is a "one-stop" location for employee resources (login tutorial).
Explore Employee Self-Service (ESS).
- ESS provides access to paycheck, tax, and leave information.
