    School readiness is how prepared a child is for school - socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally.

    In kindergarten, students are expected to:

    • Follow spoken directions to walk in a line and sit on the rug
    • Hold a pencil, crayon and use scissors
    • Share with friends
    • Recognize colors
    • Use the restroom independently
    • Feed themselves
