Facilities Design & Construction (FD&C) services focuses on the design and management of construction, remodeling and renovation projects for all of Marietta City Schools’ educational and support facilities.
We are committed to the design and construction of safe, sustainable and energy efficient facilities that enrich the creative learning and teaching environment for our students and staff!

College & Career Academy Project - Phase I (in progress)
This project is Phase I of II in the construction transformation of Marietta High School: A Georgia College and Career Academy. This new addition is built on a flexible and adapatble construction design allowing for feasible improvements and modifications to the layout of the building.

College & Career Academy Project - Phase II (coming late 2019)
This project is Phase I of II in the construction transformation of Marietta High School: A Georgia College and Career Academy. This project includes a repurpose of selected exisiting space in the main building to create additional learning labs for college and career advancement.

Park Street Replacement Elementary School
Park Street Elementary School opened in 1942. With approval of the voters on the E-SPLOST V referendum, the current Park Street Elementary will be replaced with a new contemporary school building that honors the rich heritage and traditions of the Park Street Community.

Synthetic Turf Field Project
This project installs synthetic turf at the "Soccer-Lacrosse Stadium" at Marietta High School. This multi-use field will host Soccer and Lacrosse games and is lined for football games as well as band competitions.

Gymnasium Floor Installation
This project installed hardwood maple floors in the gymnasiums of Hickory Hills Elementary, West Side Elementary, and Marietta Center for Advanced Academics. These gyms previously had carpeted floors; installing the hardwood floors at these schools meets the districts specification and continues the tradition and pride of all schools. All Work was during and completed during the month of November.

MSGA Roof Replacement
This project includes the replacement of approximately 100,000 square feet of roof on the Marietta Sixth Grade Academy main building.
