Meet Assistant Principal, Ayana Oden
Ayana Oden has 20 years of experience in education. She has served as a classroom teacher in grades 3-5, a mathematics early intervention program (EIP) instructor, an instructional coach, and her current role as assistant principal. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan, a Teach for America Alumni (Atlanta ’01), and holds a MA Ed. from the University of Phoenix . She is currently a doctoral candidate in the Early Childhood and Elementary Education Program at Georgia State University. She also currently serves on the Georgia Department of Education Mathematics Advisory Committee, has worked as a mathematics consultant with Metro RESA, and presented at the Annual Georgia Council for Teachers of Mathematics (GCTM) conference in which she is a member. Ayana is a wife and mother of two. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and traveling.
