Welcome to the Principal's Page

Literacy is the basis of all future learning and a child who masters literacy skills in elementary school will enjoy many more opportunities in life. Research shows, children who read are more likely to succeed in other academic areas, go on to graduate from high school and have opportunities for college or the job market.
Here at Dunleith Elementary, we work daily to ensure each child has a meaningful and enjoyable educational experience. From the use of iPads to e-readers, desktops to laptops, SMART Boards to the newly added iMacs; our students have multiple ways to access books and travel anywhere in the world!
We welcome you to join us on this journey of learning by reading with your child(ren) every night for at least 20 minutes. Please come in and stop by our media center to check out “just right” books. We look forward to seeing you.

Dunleith Elementary is a 2014 Highest-Progress School
A Highest-Progress School is among the 10 percent of the state’s Title I schools making the most progress in improving the performance of the “all students” group over three years on the statewide assessments. A school may not be classified as a High-Progress school if it has been identified as a Priority, Focus, or Alert School.
“The schools on this list represent some of the finest efforts being put forth in Georgia education,” State School Superintendent Dr. John Barge said. “The educators, parents, students, and communities who came together to move these schools forward should take great pride in the results.”
Great things are happening...
