  • Online Free & Reduced Meal Applications are Now Available for the 2023-2024 School Year

    Parents and Families of Marietta City Schools:

    For the school year 2023-2024, Marietta City Schools is requesting all families to complete and submit an online Free and Reduced Meal Application any time during the school year if you believe your student(s) are eligible.

    *Families approved for Reduced Meal Pricing will not be required to pay the $.30 for breakfast and the $.40 for lunch due to Georgia Department of Education funding that will be used to cover those costs during the 2024 school year.
    We encourage all families to complete and submit an application regardless of this update.

    Meal Application Information for SY 2023-2024:

    • Families that apply and are eligible could receive free or price-reduced breakfast ($0.30) and lunch ($0.40) during the school year, depending on the current federal eligibility guidelines.
    • Eligible families can also use their notification letter as proof of eligibility in the meal program for discounts on testing, services, camps, and various application fees.

    Why Apply for Free & Reduced Meals?

    Submitting a Free and Reduced Meal Application also effects:

    • Increased funding to support student education 
    • Additional funding for technology and internet access
    • Discounts for fees associated with college application processes
    • Discounted fees for SAT, ACT & AP tests, plus scholarship opportunities

  • FFVP

    Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program

    The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) is a federally funded program providing free fresh fruits and vegetables to children at eligible elementary schools during the school day. The goal of the FFVP is to introduce children to fresh fruits and vegetables, to include new and different varieties, and to increase overall acceptance and consumption of fresh, unprocessed produce among children.

    Lunch Angels is a program that allows the community to help cover the costs of school meals for students who may not have qualified to receive a free or reduced-price lunch but still might have trouble paying for a meal every day.
