Meal Delivery During Virtual Learning

  • Please note: The USDA requires that students must be present to receive meals at our distribution sites. For families with multiple students, all students must be present to receive meals. Families will not be allowed to take meals home to students who are not with them at the distribution site. Students may wait in a family’s car (if illness or social distancing are concerns) but they must be physically at the distribution site. Families, including students, must wear a mask when picking up meals.

    While we are engaged in virtual learning during the start of the 2020-2021 school year, School Nutrition and Transportation Departments will deliver lunch and snacks to our students. As we focus on the safety and well-being of our students, providing a healthy meal is a top priority.

    Beginning on August 4, 2020:

    1. Students must provide their name and/or student ID number to receive a meal. Non MCS children will have to pay the visiting price for any meal received. 
    2. Students will receive meals at their benefit status (free, reduced, or full pay). There is a grace period of last year’s benefit that will last until September 14. Students will need to reapply and be approved prior to that date or they will flip to full pay.

    Once the application is approved, families will receive notification of their benefit status via email. They can also find the benefit status in their student’s or family’s Aspen profile account. Parents may add money to their student’s account by using the MyPaymentsPlus app or website: https://www.mypaymentsplus.com/welcome.  

    If you have a Marietta City Schools student in grades PreK-12 (18 years old and younger) in need of healthy meals, please refer to the MCS Meal Delivery Site List below. Locations and times are grouped by elementary school zones. Click on your zoned elementary school to view the locations and times within that specific zone. Please note that you are welcome at any of our distribution sites, regardless of your specific zone or current school.

    Additionally, you may also search by location type, route number, or an alphabetical list as we will be distributing food at a number of apartment complexes, hotels/motels, and public parks.

    A healthy lunch and snack will be delivered at the times listed for each location Monday through Friday, starting Tuesday, August 4 and continuing until school returns to in-person learning.
