State Board Decision on End of Course Weights

On Thursday, November 19, the State Board of Education voted to withdraw is recommendation of a 10% course weight for Georgia Milestones End of Course (EOC) exams in 2020-2021 and to post State School Superintendent Richard Woods’ recommendation of a 0.01% weight for public comment.

The State Board of Education will meet on Monday, December 21st to vote on the 0.01% recommendation. If this recommendation passes, all End of Course exams taken in the 2020-2021 school year will be weighted at 0.01% of the student’s grade rather than 20% of the students’ grade. Final grades for courses with End of Course exams first semester will reflect this new weight.
