Atlanta Braves mascot brings energy, excitement to Dunleith Elementary pep rally
Marietta, GA—Students and staff at Dunleith Elementary School received a surprise visit from the Atlanta Braves mascot, Blooper, during a special pep rally on Thursday, October 24. The lively event, part of the Braves' school tour, brought excitement and inspiration to the entire school community.
Blooper’s energetic appearance filled the gym with dancing, laughter, and cheers as he delivered important messages about making healthy choices, limiting screen time for better focus, communicating needs and emotions, and living an active lifestyle. The high-energy event left a lasting impression, with students and teachers buzzing with excitement.
“I believe strongly in enrichment, and the Braves and the Falcons have done a phenomenal job of opening their organization to our school community and bringing those enrichment opportunities to us,” said Dunleith Principal Rachel Brown-Miller. “Not all our students are going to be able to go see a Braves or Falcons game, so this kind of close-up experience is priceless!
The pep rally follows a similar event hosted by Freddie the Falcon on September 20, as Dunleith continues to build partnerships that bring unique, memorable experiences to students.
“These experiences are the kinds of events these students will never forget, and they'll remember it happened right here at Dunleith,” said Brown-Miller.
