First Friday Can Drive Launches October 3

Marietta, GA – Marietta City Schools (MCS) is excited to launch the First Friday Can Drive, a monthly opportunity for our schools and families to come together in support of students across our community.

Beginning Friday, October 3, and on the first Friday of every month, students and staff are invited to bring canned or non-perishable food items to school.

Through the generosity of our community partner, C&S Paving, every item collected will be matched, doubling the impact for Marietta families in need.

“This is more than a food drive, it’s a chance for our schools and families to come together in service to our kids,” said Superintendent Grant Rivera. “With the support of our community partners, every donation has twice the impact.”

Families can expect reminders leading up to each First Friday through school newsletters, social media, and district communications.
