Lockheed students step into success with new shoes and skills

Marietta, GA – Students at Lockheed Elementary School walked a little taller this week thanks to a special partnership with Truist and Samaritan’s Feet. On Tuesday, August 26, every Lockheed student received a new pair of shoes, socks, and an encouraging “Hope Note.”

In addition to outfitting students, Truist teammates will lead engaging financial education activities designed to build lifelong money management skills.

“This is more than just giving shoes, it’s about reminding our students that their future is bright and full of possibility,” said Dr. Tricia Patterson, principal of Lockheed Elementary. “We are grateful for partners who invest in our students, both inside and outside the classroom.”

Lockheed Elementary has seen consistent academic growth in recent years, with students making strong gains in literacy and math. The school’s focus on high expectations and community support continues to prepare students for success beyond the classroom.
