Marietta City Schools Back-to-School Information

Dear MCS Families,

I hope that your family is having a wonderful summer! It's not over yet, but we are inching closer to the first day of school. I reminded my girls we have just three weeks left in their summer break, and they told me I can keep that countdown to myself.

If your home is like mine, we are trying to keep up with all the back-to-school events and school supply lists. I can appreciate that, especially for families with multiple children, it can be hard to keep up with all the details.

To help you avoid any surprises, our district has posted the details for back-to-school events, supply lists, uniform expectations, and bus routes for all schools. Click here to find your school(s).

Lastly, for those children who ride the school bus, we encourage you to download the My Ride K-12 app, which provides real-time updates on your assigned bus. Also, should you have any concerns or needs regarding your assigned bus stop, we encourage you to reach out early so we can proactively communicate before the first week of school – please click here for more details.

I’ve told my girls that the late summer bedtime routine will soon come to an end, and I’ll expect them to start going to bed earlier. Wish me luck with that plan; my wife also thinks it’s laughable. I wish you good luck, too.
