Marietta High School Graduation Honors the Class of 2025

Marietta, GA – Marietta City Schools (MCS) will celebrate the Class of 2025 during its annual Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, May 22, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Northcutt Stadium. With 586 students expected to graduate, this year’s class reflects the spirit of Marietta City Schools' mission to prepare every student for college, career, and life.

“As our graduates cross the stage, they carry more than a diploma; they carry the belief that who they are matters. This moment reminds us that hope doesn’t move in one direction, said Superintendent Grant Rivera. “It moves with our students into classrooms, careers, communities, and callings that matter. Our role has been to help them find their voice. Now, the world gets to hear it.”

More than half of the graduating class—337 students—have reported plans to attend college in the fall. Collectively, 180 students have been awarded over $6.7 million in scholarships to date.

The Class of 2025 also includes students who are choosing to serve our country or contribute immediately to the workforce:

  • 11 students have already enlisted in the U.S. Armed Forces:
    • 2 in the United States Army
    • 4 in the Army National Guard
    • 4 in the United States Marine Corps
    • 1 in the United States Navy
  • 5 additional students are currently in the process of completing their enlistment.
  • 1 student earned the prestigious Georgia Military Service Scholarship to attend the University of North Georgia.

In addition, 32 seniors have shared their intent to enter the workforce directly after graduation. Among them, three have already secured employment with industry-leading companies:

  • 2 students will begin work with McCarthy Building Companies
  • 1 student will join Multi-Trade Construction

“As we prepare to celebrate the Class of 2025, we are proud of each student’s unique path forward,” said Dr. Marvin Crumbs, Principal of Marietta High School. “Whether pursuing college, career, or military service, these young adults are prepared to make meaningful contributions to our community and our world.”

The gates will open at 6:20 p.m. and close at 7:20 p.m. to allow seating before the graduates enter the stadium. The ceremony is scheduled to begin promptly at 7:30 p.m. The event will also be live-streamed on Blue Devil News. To help ensure a safe and enjoyable evening for everyone, weapons detection screening will be in place, and Northcutt Stadium’s clear bag policy will be in effect.

Marietta residents should expect traffic delays in the afternoon and evening as attendees gather at Northcutt Stadium. Graduates are required to park at the First United Methodist Church of Marietta or may be dropped off on-site. Limited guest parking will be available at Marietta Middle School and West Side Elementary.
