Marietta High School Names 2026 Valedictorian and Salutatorian

MARIETTA, Ga. – Marietta High School has announced the valedictorian and salutatorian for the Class of 2026. Principal Dr. Marvin Crumbs delivered the news personally — over FaceTime. Dr. Crumbs told seniors Abiuwa "Abi" Ogbomo that she had been named the Class of 2026 valedictorian and John "Stanford" Hamilton that he had been named salutatorian.

Abi will attend Princeton University in the fall, where she plans to major in psychology. Stanford is headed to the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Both seniors built their academic records alongside deep involvement at MHS. Abi credits her work across clubs and service organizations as her favorite part of high school — a reputation her classmates affirmed when they voted her "Most Likely to Succeed" at the senior assembly. Stanford was named "Most Intellectual."

Congratulations to Abiuwa, Stanford, and the entire Class of 2026.
