Tax credit program allows taxpayers to redirect their tax dollars to MCS

Marietta City Schools (MCS) is proud to highlight its commitment to educational innovation through the PEACH Education Tax Credit program. This initiative empowers our community members to direct their Georgia state income taxes toward nurturing excellence in our local public schools.

The PEACH Education Tax Credit program offers a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on Georgia state income taxes. It enables individual and corporate taxpayers to redirect their tax dollars to fund innovative projects and initiatives in Marietta City Schools. These projects aim to enhance educational opportunities, foster academic excellence, and prepare students for success in the 21st-century workforce.

"The PEACH Education Tax Credit directly translates into resources for our schools,” said Kim Blass, Chief Impact Officer. “By participating, taxpayers have a direct hand in shaping the educational landscape for our students."

Eligible individuals can receive a tax credit of up to $2,500, while married couples filing jointly can receive up to $5,000. Businesses also have the opportunity to contribute, with varying credit limits based on their tax structure—as much as 75% of an S-Corp, C-Corp, or Trust’s state tax liability.
