Students transform Marietta with creative artwork inside public parks
MARIETTA, GA – Marietta City Schools (MCS) is partnering with the Marietta Arts Council and the City of Marietta to continue “Art in our Parks,” a city-wide art installation that celebrates student artwork in neighborhood parks. The display is presented by Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and LGE Community Credit Union.
Expanding on the Marietta Arts Council’s popular Fence Art Gallery, “Art in our Parks” is designed to increase public access to art, deepen appreciation for creativity, support self-expression, and uplift students’ talents.
“Bringing art to more people, creating points of interest in our city’s parks, and showcasing our students’ incredible talents is truly inspiring,” said MCS Chief Impact Officer Kim Blass. “This project is a celebration of fine arts and a testament to the creativity and vision of our young artists. It fosters a sense of community pride and encourages everyone to engage with and appreciate the arts.”
Throughout the summer, everyone is invited to explore the creativity of MCS students at eight participating Marietta parks. Each MCS school is represented in this public installation. The Marietta Arts Council maintains a list of parks with participating artists so the community can quickly locate each student's art piece.
The “Art in our Parks” installation promises to unite the community in appreciating students' talents. Join us in supporting the next generation of artists in this city-wide celebration of creativity.
