Top Marietta Scholars Take the Stage at Fourth Annual "Super 50" Ceremony

Top Marietta Scholars Take the Stage at Fourth Annual "Super 50" Ceremony

MARIETTA, Ga. — Marietta City Schools recognized its highest-performing seniors from the Class of 2026 during the district's annual Super 50 ceremony on Sunday, May 3, at the Marietta Performing Arts Center.

The event brought together the district's top 50 graduating students for a program centered on academic achievement, perseverance, and the families and educators who supported them along the way.

Each senior selected a person to stand with them as they received a commemorative Super 50 medal from Superintendent Dr. Grant Rivera and the Marietta City Schools Board of Education. Parents, relatives, teachers, and other mentors who played significant roles in students' academic journeys were also recognized.

"Behind every successful student is someone who showed up, who encouraged our students, pushed them, and believed in them even on the hard days," said Rivera. "This ceremony is about celebrating our students, but it's just as much about lifting up the people who walked alongside them to make this moment possible."

The program included personal elements such as childhood photos and family memories, offering a brief look at each student's path from early school years to graduation. For the first time this year, seniors went home with a free personalized yard sign celebrating their graduation and future plans made possible by C&S Paving.

The Super 50 students are among 570 seniors in the Class of 2026. Their accomplishments reflect both individual effort and a broader community commitment to student success.

Graduation for the Class of 2026 is scheduled for Thursday, May 21, at Northcutt Stadium.
