Any visitor to the School System Web site is hereby granted permission to access and print Materials from this Web site for personal, non-commercial purposes only, provided that all copyright notices are kept intact. B. Trademarks, Logos (Identity Guidelines)

The School System’s trademarks, logos, characters and service marks (collectively "Trademarks") displayed on this site belong to the School System. MCS "Partners in Education" logos are protected by the same laws as the School System’s logos, characters and service marks (collectively "Trademarks") displayed on this site. Nothing contained on this Web site should be construed as granting any license or right to use any Trademark displayed on this or any individual Marietta City School Web site. Your use/misuse of the Trademarks displayed on this web site, or any other content on this web site, except as provided in these Terms and Conditions, is strictly prohibited. You are also advised that the School System will aggressively enforce its intellectual property rights to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution.

The School System grants a limited license to use MCS’ marks (school seal, logos and slogans) solely in association with the guidelines contained in this document. All use of the MCS marks (school seal, logos and slogans) will be consistent with MCS brand identity/mark guidelines, which are attached hereto as Exhibit I. All such use of the MCS marks shall be pre-approved in writing. Marietta City Schools (MCS) marks may not be used in any manner that expresses or implies MCS' affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, certification, or approval, other than as contemplated by a written Agreement.

MCS Marks Graphic Guidelines:

  • The MCS marks (school seal, logos, school mascot graphics and slogans) may not be combined with any other symbols, including words, logos, icons, mascot graphics, photos, slogans, numbers, or other design element.
  • The standard PMS color for the MCS logo with slogan is PMS 288, or a Black-only version may be substituted.
  • The slogan "The difference is Excellence" may not be altered or combined with any other symbols, including words, logos, icons, graphics, photos, slogans, numbers, or other design elements.

C. Links to External Web sites

The School System Web site or some of its Web pages may provide links to other Internet Web sites or resources not hosted on the School System Web server ("External Web sites"). As a visitor to the School System Web site, individual school Web site pages and/or "teacher Web classrooms", you agree and acknowledge that the School System:

  1. Has provided these links to External Web sites for your convenience only;
  2. Has no control over these External Web sites;
  3. Is not responsible for the availability of these External Web sites; and

Marietta City School System (School System) respects the intellectual property of others.
