  • What is the procedure for early dismissal?

     If parents would like to pick up their student early from school for a doctor’s appointment or family emergency, they may do so at any time before 2:45pm. After that time, the students will be dismissed home as regularly scheduled. Also, be aware that the student will be marked tardy if they leave the school before dismissal time.

  • What do I need to register my child?

    To be able to enroll a student at Lockheed Elementary school, parents/guardians will need the following documents:

    1.             1) Copy of the student’s birth certificate

    2.             2) Copy of the student’s social security card

    3.             3) GA Immunization form 3231

     5.             5) Proof of Residence/Lease

    a.       Please bring a current rent lease or mortgage statement under the name of the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of the student. If the parent/guardian is bringing a rent lease, please make sure the lease is sign by the land lord and the parents. Also, verify that the lease includes a starting date and the expiration date.  

    6.             6) Utility Bill

    a.       Please make sure to bring one utility bill that it is current and it is under the name of the person in the rent lease or mortgage statement. Utility bills can be the water bill, power bill, gas bill, car insurance bill, hospital bill, and etc.

  • When and where can I register my child?

    Please go to Registration Gateway using this link to begin the process and upload all the required documents:  Registration Gateway  The front office is available Monday to Friday from 9:30 A.M. to 12 P.M. to assist with registrations.  Please call 770-429-3196 with any questions.

  • How early can I drop my child off at school?

    Parents may drop the children at school as early as 8:00 A.M.. If the parent needs to drop their child earlier than 7:45 A.M., they may register their child in the Before School Program and drop them off as early as 6:30 A.M.

  • How do I register for Before School programs and After School program?

    Parent may register their child, for a one time registration fee of $10.00 BSP and/or $15.00 ASP at:

    1.               1) Once you are in the Before and After School program website click on the registration tab which is the fourth option in the middle of the page.

             2) After you click on registration, click on “click here to register online”. This is right under the title “Registration”.
     
             3) On the right hand side in green you will see “click here to set up a NEW UserID and password” and “Click here if you have forgotten you UserID or password”. If this is your first time registering you child, please click on “click here to set up a NEW UserID and password’. If you already have registered your child in previous years, please click on “Click here if you have forgotten you UserID or password”.
     
             4) Once you have selected one of the two options please fill out all the information. 

     

             5) After you have filled out all the information, it will ask for a method of payment for the onetime registration fee of $10.00 for BSP and $15.00 for the ASP.
     
             6) Once a method of payment has been entered, please submit the payment. Print and keep receipt for your records.

  • How can I make a transportation change?

    Parents may do a transportation change as long as it is in written form. It is school policy to not take transportation changes over the phone, fax, class dojo, text or e-mail for our student’s safety. Any transportation change must be in by 2:45 P.M.

  • Are there any afterschool clubs or programs?

    Yes, we do offer after school programs at Lockheed Elementary school. The following clubs or programs are available for students:

  • What do I need to do when my child is absent from school?

    If the student was absent from school, please make sure to send a note to the teacher stating the reason(s) why the student was absent from school, or a doctor's note if the child saw a doctor.

  • How can I volunteer at the school?

    Any parent wishing to volunteer their time and talents should contact Ms. Diane Sieverson at Ext. 6114 or their student’s teacher. Due to Covid protocols, parents are not currently allowed into the building to volunteer.  However, we encourage you to sign up as a volunteer in the event opportunities become available!  We appreciate our family volunteers!

  • Can I have lunch with my child?

    At this time, parents and other family members may not have lunch with their children due to Covid protocols.  Once those protocols are no longer in place, we encourage parents to come and have lunch with their child when they can. If you have any questions please contact Diane Sieverson.

  • My child did not get off the bus, where was he/she taken?

    There are differentsituations and reasons why a student may not be left at the bus stop in the afternoon. If this is the case, your child was taken to Park Street Elementary School on 105 Park Street, SE, Marietta GA 30060. The contact transportation at  770-429-3110.
