Christina Wagoner Named Principal, West Side Elementary School

The Board of Education of the City of Marietta has named Dr. Christina Wagoner Principal of West Side Elementary School.
Principal Wagoner has a strong K-12 leadership background and currently serves as principal of Marietta Center of Advanced Academics (MCAA).
Wagoner’s personal academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Auburn University, Masters of Education from Georgia State University, an Education Specialist Degree from Berry College, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Georgia State University.
Wagoner is known for her ability to bring out the best in students using innovative learning techniques and forward thinking educational strategies. “As principal, I will be committed to developing relationships that foster a culture that supports, inspires, and motivates every student to reach his/her fullest potential,” said Wagoner.
She is eager to continue to serve Marietta City Schools as the principal of West Side Elementary School, continuing the rich legacy of academic excellence. Wagoner will host a community reception May 16, 2018 at 6:30 PM in the West Side Auditorium. Community members can meet the new administrative team at West Side, and hear plans for gathering stakeholder feedback in the coming months.
Wagoner will assume the post July 1, 2018.
