MCS Students Participated in the 69th Georgia Science and Engineering Fair, Mar. 30

Four MCS students participated in the 69th Georgia Science and Engineering Fair in Athens, GA this weekend. Over 600 middle and high school students attended the annual competition.

MSGA student Jack Vega presented in the Engineering Mechanics category with his project Building a Wind Tunnel. Vega won the American Meteorological Society Award for the Junior Division.

MHS students Isaiah Torres and Kruin Utschig presented in the Engineering Mechanics category with their project Creating a Bike Pulled Trailer on a Modular Chassis. Their project earned the Arizona State University’s Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability Award for the Senior Division.

MHS student Rosa Williams presented in the Physical Sciences-Chemistry category her project Flames and Fabric: A Look into Thread Count and Flammability. Williams earned a Fourth Place Honors for her chemistry project.
