A.L. Burruss K-Kids Encourage Students to Succeed During Upcoming Milestone Testing, Apr. 11

K-Kids K-Kids is a student led service organization for elementary school students, and A.L. Burruss has an active chapter. The local Kiwanis club of Marietta serves as the K-Kids club sponsor. Members in this service organization are students who are interested in service to school and community. On April 11 K-Kids worked together to create posters to encourage students in grades 3-5 to do their best on the upcoming state Milestones test. As a second project, the A.L. Burruss K-Kids gave input into the school’s Essential Agreements for the cafeteria, halls, and playground. The A.L. Burruss K-Kids are rockin’!

The objectives of K-Kids are:
  • To provide opportunities for working together in service to school and community
  • To develop leadership potential
  • To foster development of a strong moral character
  • To encourage loyalty to school, community, and nation
The K-Kids Pledge:
As a K-Kid, I promise to serve my neighborhood and my school;
I will show respect toward my environment;
And will try to make the world a better place in which to live.
