Dr. Jami Frost Named New Deputy Superintendent

Marietta City Schools is pleased to welcome Dr. Jami Frost as the new Deputy Superintendent. With over 29 years of experience in education, Dr. Frost brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role.

Before joining Marietta City Schools, Dr. Frost served as an Assistant Superintendent in the Cobb County School District, where she oversaw the daily operations of 22 schools. She has held various leadership roles throughout her career, including 13 years as a principal in two elementary schools: Dowell Elementary in Marietta and Ford Elementary in Acworth. Dr. Frost has also worked as an assistant principal, instructional lead teacher, and teacher.

Dr. Frost holds a bachelor's degree and Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum and Teaching from Auburn University and a master's degree in middle grades education, as well as leadership certification from the University of West Georgia. She has a proven track record of implementing successful programs and initiatives to support student learning and growth.

As the new Deputy Superintendent of Marietta City Schools, Dr. Frost is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students can reach their full potential. She is passionate about ensuring all students have access to high-quality education and has dedicated her career to improving student outcomes. Her experience and dedication to student success make her a valuable addition to the district's leadership team.

Dr. Frost’s appointment comes after Dr. Belinda Walters-Brazile announced her retirement after 32 years in education, including six as Deputy Superintendent with Marietta City Schools. The district wishes Dr. Walters-Brazile a happy and healthy retirement as she moves on to new endeavors and is grateful for the legacy she leaves behind.
