“Community Conversations” town hall to highlight SAT and ACT Prep opportunities at MCS
Marietta City Schools (MCS) continues the “Community Conversations” town hall series on Thursday, February 15, from 7:30 to 8 p.m. This online event promises an engaging dialogue on the invaluable opportunities our SAT/ACT Prep program offers to current Marietta High School students.
Superintendent Dr. Grant Rivera, along with Jennifer Tongel, our Applerouth Tutoring representative, will lead the discussion. Together, they will highlight the comprehensive support MHS extends to its students through this program. Thanks to a robust partnership with Applerouth Tutoring, MHS is proud to offer small-group SAT/ACT prep classes and practice exams at no additional cost to families.
"This discussion reflects our wider dedication to advancing our students' chances in the college admissions process and their potential for earning scholarships," said Superintendent Dr. Grant Rivera. "Our students will follow various career pathways after high school, and it's our goal to provide them with every tool necessary for success."
The upcoming "Community Conversations" session will delve into the practical steps families can take to benefit from this program. Topics will include registration for after-school classes, customization of online modules tailored to the SAT and ACT, and strategies to help students improve their test scores.
The ongoing town hall series provides an opportunity for Superintendent Dr. Grant Rivera and other school system leaders to discuss major projects and initiatives. Families can ask questions and dialogue about topics that impact their students.
This “Community Conversations” event will be virtual to make it convenient for people to join wherever they are. The virtual town hall will also be recorded so people who can’t make it can still access this valuable information.
