Marietta City Schools is proud to announce Londyn Scott, a 1st grade exemplary student at Sawyer Road Elementary, as its December Student of the Month.
She is a hard worker and a wonderful classmate and friend, and she is always willing to assist with many classroom jobs helping both her teacher and friends. When Londyn is not busy adding detailed illustrations to her Writer's Workshop stories you can find her reading with a buddy or helping someone with math.
Londyn always perseveres when facing a challenge. She strives to do her best when solving problems and works to find creative ways to reach the answer. Londyn embodies the International Baccalaureate (IB) learner profile. Most notably she is principled, caring, and an inquirer. She also portrays outstanding academic achievement, and is a part of the MILE gifted program at Sawyer Road Elementary.
Additionally, Londyn is active and involved at her school and in the community. Londyn is a talented artist and was selected to participate in the Fire Safety poster contest this year. She also serves as a Junior Marietta Blue Devil Cheerleader and spends her Saturdays on the sidelines at Northcutt Stadium cheering for the Junior Marietta Football team. In her free time, Londyn also enjoys gymnastics and taking dance classes.
Her joyous spirit and loving heart leave an imprint on anyone who knows her. She is seen as a leader in the classroom, and at recess she always makes sure everyone is included. While striving to do her best Londyn makes sure her classmates are happy and ready to learn too. Londyn’s zeal for learning is contagious, and she is a great role model.
We congratulate Londyn Scott for being recognized as the December District Student of the Month!
